What kind of idiot is going to pay for a presale link when you can get it for free just by signing up to a mailing list? I hate ebayers.

My life currently seems to revolve around getting tickets for gigs. Getting up early tomorrow (err today actually) for Muse Wembley presale. I'm not even that arsed seeing as I saw them last month (oh my god best concert I've ever been to!!) and really big gigs never have quite the same atmosphere, but my brother's paying and it's the stadium so you know, yay!

I've also found the most perfect job for me. Publishing administrator, graduate preferred = obvious progression, in central London. So why haven't I applied? Because I'm fucking scared of doing a proper interview and not remembering all the stuff I've done in the last year and then being told that I'm too stupid to even be an administrator.

Obviously I'm going to apply anyway, but still *scared*

In other news, my mind has been completely warped by watching just about every episode of South Park ever made in the last 2 weeks. Except for the one where Cartman thinks he's a Vietnamese prostitute, which is the one I was looking for in the first place! Youtube and Dailymotion are my two new best friends.

I do wish that there were more nights out with friends where I have more than just bleary recollections of what I did and what people said to me. I came to the conclusion today, after spending the morning mentally berating myself for things I might have said the previous night, that I may possibly be the pisshead of my current group of friends. Which is a bit embarressing really as it means I draw attention to myself.

Someone said to me last night that work is all bollocks. People-pleasing, mind-numbing shit that doesn't, or shouldn't, define who you are in any way. Work to live basically. I mean I knew that, but having someone say it to me made me feel a bit better about it all. It's not about growing up and being brave a responsible at all. It's just about playing games, which I'm quite good at really and tend to win.

Blah, when all's said and done, I just had quite a nice night out last night. Stayed out late, got a bit pissed, and got a kiss on the cheek (and a phone number ;)) from someone I found interesting and enjoyed talking to.

I'm in [info]saphreanth's room at Royal Holloway! She's forcing me to make this entry, literally knife to the throat type stuff, but she's shorter than me so I'm not really that scared. It's very nice here, all green and picturesque, and also uncommonly warm! I'm about to torture her with the shitty music on my ipod. Oooh! I just saw a rabbit out of the window!

Ahem, so yes, I'm in Surrey, on Minty's computer, and we're about to go to the pub to drink lots :D

List seven songs that you're into RIGHT NOW. No matter what genre, whether they have words or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Then tag seven other people and see what they're listening to.

Incubus - The Warmth
VAST - Flames
Everything But The Girl - Single
Sigur Ros - Nyja Lagid
Garbage - Cup of Coffee
Pink Floyd - The Great Gig in the Sky
Muse - Glorious

And an extra one: Filter - Hey Man, Nice Shot

I tag anyone who hasn't been tagged yet.

I think that a lot of people, including myself, expect too much from life. Maybe they've read too many books or watched too many films that have stupidly happy endings to be able to insert any kind of realism into their own desires. Life isn't about the big decisions, till death us do part, I'm dying inside bollocks. It's the small things that happen every day that make you smile, even if it's just for a moment. Little reminders that not everything is grey, dull and disappointing. Everyone isn't out to hurt you. Everything is not about you. It can just be a friend having the time and inclination to get back to you. Or the new pair of fantastic boots you just bought that you can't afford but mean that you have at least one pair of shoes that don't leak. Or finding out that one of the numerous fucked up friends you've had is actually happy and engaged :) I like it when my friends are happy :)

Some people make me very angry and very sad at the same time. There's a certain individual on this site who professes to be a good catholic, and I just cannot believe him. He's the embodiment of all the reasons that I fell out with christianity. A religion that preaches love, forgiveness, tolerance (judge not lest you yourself be judged) and I cannot understand where the fuck he fits into any of that. Everyone has their own views, mainly developed from their up-bringing, but to just stamp down on anyone who dares to disagree? No matter how delicately or with whatever degree of intelligence they try to point out certain things to him? And when he bandies around the word 'hyprocrisy' whilst trying to incite such hatred of entire communities and races, and still claims to be a christian? Ridiculous. He wraps his arguments up so closely in philosophy (always with the Plato) and misguided political views where he seems to have formed massive, immovable judgments based on biased facts, that you can barely understand the point he's trying to make. He hides behind his pseudo-intellectualism because he has to have some inkling that his ideas and beliefs are flawed, contradictory and extreme. And this man thinks that he's a good christian boy, that his is always right, that anyone who thinks differently is going to hell and he isn't afraid to say it.

I cannot stand hypocrites.

Sometimes I cannot believe how fucking petty and horrible little children can be. What is the point in making someone feel shittier than they obviously already do, just to make yourself feel superior? Jesus. The internet is bad for my blood pressure. I go from site to site just wanting to scream at people to grow the fuck up.

ETA: http://community.livejournal.com/ohnotheydidnt/7404037.html this makes me beyond angry. Not her comments, the comments of the people who responded. What is it about people who read a couple of psychological articles and then think they know everything? Fucking idiot morons. Everybody is stupid. They make me want to reach through my computer screen and strangle their scrawny, moronic, uneducated necks.

*deep breath* I may be slightly irritable today.

the Provacateur

(71% dark, 34% spontaneous, 47% vulgar)

your humor style:
VULGAR | COMPLEX | DARK

You'll crack on anything, and you're often witty, even caustic, about it.

Therefore, your sense of humor is polarizing. You're transgressive, and you've got a seriously sharp 'edge'--maybe too much for some folks. If they get you, people think you're one of the funniest (and smartest) people in the world. If they don't, they think you're an ass. Whatever, right? While some might question your judgement, your comic intellect is unquestionably respected.
